The team were commissioned to repair the narrow three-bay chancel screen at the Church of St Andrew and St Mary at How Caple. The screen supports a carved William III Royal Arms. The two elements were demonstrated through the conservation work to be coeval, designed as a single piece, thereby dating the screen to c.1689-1702.
The Coat of Arms underwent minor repairs and some elements of replacement timber was inserted. Supporting steels were discretely positioned to maintain the integrity of the Arms, and the whole screen was cleaned and secured into the walls with stainless steel holdfasts.
